Hello All-

I'm currently looking for a used Dakota Quad-Cab 4wd - I was wondering, was leatrher an option on the quad cabs? I currently have a Durango that the wife just "took over" and really got spoiled by the leather. Don't know if that was an option in model from 2001 - 2003 (years I'm interested in).

Also, kind of off subject - how do you think CarMax gets cars 2 or 3 years old with so few miles on them? Should I be worried even looking at cars at CarMax? Just can't figure out how they have a 2001 model with 12K on it. Also, wonder why there are so many 2-3 years old with 40K - always wonder why someone sold a car like that. I guess as in all things, especially used vehicles, buyer beware...

I just bought a 2002 quad cab slt with leather...it is sooooo sweet...the front seats have the dodge symbol stiched into them

 

Laramie has leather, if it has leather and it isn't a Laramie, it's aftermarket leather.

 

Either that, or it wasnt offered in that model's year

Looks like you can pick leather seats as an option on the 05 SLT (at least on the online build-n-price deal). The price structure amuses me, you can option up an SLT to be equivalent to but slightly more expensive than a Laramie.

 

I have a 2000 quad cab. I added Katzskin Leather seats - and hate them. The seams in the original seats run parallel to you hamstrings. The leather seams pinch. I've since covered the otherwise beautiful - but painful seats with sheepskins.

Whatever you do, don't consider an aftermarket leather kit!
