Two Issues, less than 800 miles.
I have a 1.4 turbo SXT 6 speed.
Lets just say that I love this car and brag to anyone who asks me about it. The vehicle is a real headturner thats for sure.
Power door locks. They dont work all the time, from either side.
Cold engine misses. If i push the go pedal more than 1/4 throttle in the first 1 minute of operation it seems to miss and sounds exactly like a rev limiter.
I will be going back real soon and having them look at it. I'll let you all know what happens, in the meantime I am open to hearing what you guys think either issue might be.

Intake valve operates on Oil Pressure, I think it is just the nature of this engine, allowing a minute or 2 warm up time for the oil would be a good idea.
regarding the door lock issue, never heard or it. Perhaps there might be a software update to address this later down the road.

I don't own a Dart, I work at Dodge dealer.
I am just telling you how this engine is designed. Oil temperature, Pressure, and Oil quality is very critical to engine operation.
It does some weird stuff in extreme Cold Temperature. Sometimes you might have an extended crank time as well, to build up oil pressure.
Also, open you hood, and listen to the engine. This engine is LOUD for a 1.4l. This engine sound more like a Diesel than a Gasoline engine. Most of the noise came from the Oil Control Solenoid, the Rev Limiter you heard might be normal.
Why all these unconventional design? It is to get you the extra 2 MPG and Horse power.
Regarding your power lock, when the Button doesn't work, does the Key Fobik work?
It is a fairly new car, there are A LOT of software issue Chrysler needs to address. I can tell you after a year or 2, there will be tons of software update for all the computers in the car. So before your base warranty is over, make sure you check back with ur dealer for software updates.

I have read a ton of stuff about how the engine was designed and how the vvt works. Thanks for your input.
Today, on the way to the dealer, I warmed it up for 2 minutes, then it missed almost all the way to the dealer (7 miles). its 45 degrees outside. These misses happen under moderate to hard acceleration. I think it might be turbo related. About the turbo, is it common to hear a whine during acceleration?
The engine noise.... mine sounds like a sewing machine. its very quiet, except for what sounds like soleniods chattering.
The dealer wanted me to come back next week. I LOL'ed with a stern look on my face and said NO. He asked if i had had it serviced before. I said, yes infact it was here 2 weeks ago when you guys prepped it, therefore there should be nothing wrong with it now. They found a tech to look at it then.
The tech got the locks to malfunction but said there has not been an issue like that yet. I also explained the missing issue and they didnt know what it was either. NO codes were present.
the tech re-flashed the computer and put in a note to STAR. I think thats what he called it. They will get back to me on the issue.
The locks still malfunction and I wont know about the missing till the car cools off and i drive it next.
I'll let you know how it goes.

We have been feeding it strictly premium unleaded, but usually buy it from the local Kroeger's gas station. Since the pumps are all the one hose for all grades, I often wonder if there is anything fancy going-on to make it pump out the cheaper stuff (assuming most people just use regular u87 gas so chances are the guy who used it before me was pumping that) or if you just have to hope the higher octane is pumped in enough quantity to offset the amount of cheaper stuff left in the pipe.
Also, I am not sure how good the gas quality/detergents are compared to some of the name brands. With this high revving, small-displacement turbo engine, I worry more about that stuff than I do with my Dakota's V8 (that and I usually run e85 in the Dakota, so it should be REALLY clean!)

I have been pretty busy, but it still misses and i can hear a high pitched whistling sound when its about to do it.
Now it does it when the car is warmed up too. I'm just gonna wait till it blows up.

Bone, I know that my stratus has very noisy fuel injectors and that is a very common problem...might that be your sewing engine noise? What you are describing sounds like what i hear with my stratus.
as for the missing...I would stay on top of the dealership about that. Ive not heard about that problem before. I will be driving a new Dart in a couple weeks here so i should see what the cold performance is like but i suspect that something isnt right with yours.

I know its not right and so does Dodge. They were supposed to release a TSB fix and they pushed it back. I think its due next week.
ETA:
- Flash: Bump While Accelerating and/or Lack of Power --- 12/07/2012 pushed back till 1-11-13
