Airbag lights can be tricky. Even the smallest resistance in an airbag circuit can cause a light to come on.

I have had the same problem. I brought it in once and they told me there was no problem and no evidence it came on. I'm calling again Monday because it came on again last night. It is frightening driving around wondering if an airbag is going to suddenly deploy. They suggested it might have been the weight of my purse not being enough, but every time it has been on there has been an adult passenger in the seat.

There have been some issues with seat airbag wiring connectors. On many, the light will be intermittent. Is there a trouble code on your repair order anywhere?

We're over 10K without issue... other than the oil change warning not resetting as it is supposed to.

No. No code. It has been a while since I have been on the forum, but I thought it would tell me if someone replied.
The light has come on 3 other times and yesterday it came on and will not go out. I see lots of posts about similar issues when I did a search. I'm going in tomorrow and I will be a bit more demanding. I drove used cars for 20 years and have not spent this much time visiting a garage. I wish they would just figure it out -- they have the car five minutes and say there is no sign of anything wrong. I'm really disappointed because I love the car, but this is a headache I don't need.

There is a known issue with the big connector under the seat having some intermittent contact issues. If you look down under the front of the bottom frame you'll see a grey/blue connector, I think it's a 20-way. That is where the problem is. They need to get a connector kit for it and (at least)replace the seat squib terminals on both sides of the connector. I've seen a few of these so far. It can happen on either front seat.

When you take it in, talk to the service manager and make him aware of your trips there and the Star case for that connector.
