It was a 2.0 with auto. My dealer didn't have anything else on the lot. I really like the car, but man this thing was slow....... I'm currently driving a 98 Jetta rated at 90hp, and I think my Jetta could take it lol. Is this thing any better with a manual? Does the 1.4 have the ***** this is missing?

Having more power than my old beater is at the top of my list.

 

I think Motortrend did say the 2.0 feels like the slowest car in it's class.
You really need to drive a 1.4T model, it is A LOT faster. and better fuel economy as well.
