Anyone know where I can get a short throw shifter for an 89 Dodge Daytona Shelby? Do they even make them?

 

There is no such thing. Your best bet is to have your stock shifter modified. You can simply cut down the shifter itself, this will not be easy since the reverse lockout runs up through it, and/or have the bottom section modified to create more actual cable movement with less shifter throw up top.

 

Sounds like alot of work to me,I was thinking about getting one of thepistol grip shifters from www.fwdperformance.com

 

Dang, I cant do that, they have no provisions for the reverse thing, anyone know where I can get a shift **** for my car 89'shelby 5 speed?

 

Good luck! I have no idea as to anyone that has any that will fit it since it has the reverse lock out.
