91 Daytona Shelby, Leaks Oil, Runs Like Crap
Hi Everyone.
I have a '91 Daytona Shelby 2.5L Turbo.
I just Replaced the head gasket and got the car back together, It runs like crap. When I shut the engine off The car leaks about 1/4qt. of oil on the ground. I think its comming from the turbo, Im not really sure, I have a new gasket for what I believe is the return line... an oval connector that goes on the bottom, I havent installed it yet. But as I said this only happens when the car is shut off. Also When I drive the car, It has no pick up what so ever, and the turbo never goes to the turbo side of the meter, only the Vacume side.
Does anyone know where I should start with this issue?
I have much exp. with the Mits. V6 3.0L but this is the first 2.5 I have had.
Thanks For Your Time
Phil

I would say your return line gasket is bad. Those are a must to have in there. As far as the boost problem, sounds like vac lines are messed up. I am not real familiar with the 2.5l turbo vac lines, but the guys over at www.turbododge.com can help.
