After that long the bearings are probably just getting to worn down and aren't holding the oil pressure they once did. It's possible that it could be the oil pump, but I think the worn bearings idea is the more likely of the two. My Roadrunner had spun a bearing years ago with the other engine I had in it and it had really low oil pressure because of this, even after putting a new set of rod bearings in it. The rod was beat out of round, because it kept spinning that same rod bearing soon after I replaced it. It was so bad to the point that if I were sitting with the engine at operating temperature idling, like in McDonalds drive thru, the oil pressure would drop off almost completely to nothing, but it would come back up while driving or if I revved the engine. It would also drop really low at red lights as well.
When I had the 2.2L Turbo II in my '88 Daytona Shelby Z rebuilt it carried less oil pressure than it did before the rebuild which I thought was rather odd, but the place that did the rebuild (A&A Engine F**kups) was a POS complete joke that kept screwing me around. Just be thankful that your Daytona has an oil pressure gauge instead of just an idiot light that only comes on when it's too late. As long as you don't have any oil leaks you might want to switch to synthetic oil for added protection.

In most cases (not all) with these cars, adding a "good" (Autometer) oil gauge will solve your low pressure problems. The factory gauges SUCK in these cars. You may want to also look into a new sending unit if you don't want to drop that coin on a gauge ($50-$60)......
