Default 2.5 non turbo rev limiter

Hello all I'm a newbie and need some help. I have a 93 daytona with a 2.5 non turbo that has been made into a circle track car. The problem I have encountered is the rev limiter. In 3rd gear I am against the limiter and 4th gear is very sluggish. I have tried changing tire sizes and still have the same problem. I am guessing I only need about 500-750 more RPM, I need to go about 50 feet more before the turn.

My question is can I bypass the factory rev limiter and if so how? Thanks ahead of time.

I raced one and never had a problem hitting 7000 with a tbi. then I switched to a carb setup with an old omni ignition module and gained 3/10's I bet you're actually floating the valves. which happens on stock hydraulic cams around 6500.
