Default V8 Swap

i drive a 92 daytona and am lookin to do a kick in the teeth V8 RWD conversion with either a 440 or 392 Hemi, leaning towards the 392. I heard that the dana 9 3/4 rear end matches up with some bolts, thought about that, i know about exline but idk if they do 392s. opinions wanted and also advice cuz i want this thing to scream, and hopefully get past the 11s with some work

Here is a link to a company that makes a kit for the Daytona RWD conversion. They may be able to help you with your questions. http://www.exlinecustomauto.com

I've been considering exline. Do the kits also stiffen the frame? Cuz the biggest I know in a daytona is a 340 but I want to put in either a 426, 440, or a 392. 540 if I find one in a junkyard. Do they do conversions for 392s and 540s?

From what I understand the small block barely fits into the compartment, so I am doubtful that you will get a larger engine in. Also it looks as though they also have a suspension ladder to beef up the unibody frame.

here is a link to a picture of what i use on the frames. i cut out the original from the firewall back and replace it with a new one. the spare tire well gets cut out and the new frame fits in its place.

i have made mounts for guys to run 440's in these cars and there is room. the engine bay is wider than a dart but only a little short. but you can fit a big block.

here is a picture of the last one i did with a 6.1 hemi and a 6 speed. i used a tri 4 bar set up this time.
