Default rocker arm noise

My 89 daytona is noisey it sounds like the rocker arms but I don't feel any play up and down. How do I know if I need to replace my rocker arms on the 2.5 sohc

How loud is it? Has it always been loud? I just know they are naturally noisy.

You could try new lifters and clean up the oil passages up top a little. I remember seeing a thread about putting pt lifters in the sohc motors. Try to google it and see what you can find, it may be worth your time. I know they are cheaper.
