Default 1992 Dodge Daytona power issue

Hello there,
I have a 1992 Dodge Daytona 5 speed with a 2.5 engine. The car is set up for circle track asphalt racing, however, I have developed a power issue. I can't get the car to go over 3200rpm when I have it on the track. If I put it in neutral I can get it to go to 4000 but then it just sits there and will not go above. Has anyone had this issue before?

Non turbo, and I don't have any codes because all of that was removed. Being a race car all of the stock gauge cluster is gone

If the computer is still there, the obd port should be there somewhere...... gonna have to plug in, and see what it thinks is going on.
