Default 5 speed shifter broken - HELP

Hi there, I have a 1990 Daytona with a 5 speed. The reverse "lift lever" broke, or the cable in the reverse. Does anyone know where to get parts and what I need to fix it? Pictures would be great, but I know Im asking for too much.. Thanks

That happened with my '88 Shelby Z. If you unscrew the shift **** you will see a white plastic tab that is now probably broke or one of the barbs/ramps has worn off or flat. I went to the junkyard and found another manual trans car and got the same peice just to have it do the same. I eventually put a hole in the white plastic part and used tie wire through it to get it functioning again. It may look ugly, but it worked and you can't see any of it with the shift **** on. If your problem isn't this part, then happy hunting.
