My Shelby Z
Here are a few recent pics of the '88 Daytona Shelby Z that I had sold to my ex-stepbrother. There crapy night shots, but they're the only recent ones I have.

The night is hiding the very bad case of clear coat damage over the entire top of the car. The sides look great still though. Right now the car is looking pretty rough in the light. I do have two pictures from years back that my grandmother took with it in it before any of the clearcoat came off. Here is one of them that my grandmother took years ago.

Since my Shelby Z has been sold to my ex-stepbrother since I had purchased my SRT-4, I have raced it with the SRT-4. The SRT-4 was 100% stock at the time and the Shelby Z I had bored 30 over, MSD ignition coil, Accel wires, K&N filter, Mopar Performance PCM and removed the A/C compressor and lines. I stomped my poor Shelby Z into the pavement. Here is a link to my thread about it: https://dodgeforum.com/tm.asp?m=27224
It is with no doubt that the SRT-4 has a very large, shinny set of ***** when it come down to over all power. You may be scratch'n for traction at the track tough. Does yours have the factory installed LSD??
P.S. Don't forget that the Shelby Z has more than a few extra pounds over the SRT.

Yep, all the '04's come with the factory LSD. We started at around a 15-20 MPH roll. I have seen weight numbers all over the place on the Shelby Z's. I would love to know exactly how much they weigh, I never got to get it put on a scale to see how much. I do know that they are fairly heavy, my SRT-4 had a shipping weight of 2,868 LBS.
Well the shelby Z needs that DOHC head swap, case closed. Thats the only thing really holding it back. The neon may be a little lighter and faster, but thats nothing that cant be corrected on that Z. And styling wise the neon cant hope to come close. Pathetic really thatwith 16 years to mull it over, they went and made a car that gives up so much in appearance.
