Baffled...
I have a buddy of mine with an 88 Shelby Z 2.2 Turbo 2. He's having a real annoying problem. The car just shuts off after it has been running for about 10 minutes. We found out that who ever reconected the vacuum lines previously had no clue what they were doing, so I had to route them to the correct locations. The car does run better and I reset the timing, but the blasted thing just shuts off after 10 minutes. We checked the spark (good) and fuel lines to make sure everything was good. No fault codes showing other than the standby memory power loss (#12). We have been scratching our heads on this for weeks and can't figure out whats going on. It shuts off wether it's idling or driving down the road. It won't start for a few minutes after it shuts off, then it starts fine and runs for another 10 minutes or so. Anybody got any clues?
