Dodge DaytonaThe G platform cars that are to this day, fun sporty machines that car modding enthusiasts love to get their hands on, the Dodge Daytona and Chrysler Laser.
Most modern alernators have the regulator built into them, they may be controled by the computer, but have never heard of them being part of the computer, but with the way things work on some cars, it very well could, but I would suspect it is the same as my son's 90 model, and is a itergrated unit.

Some cars have internally regulated voltage computer while others are regulated by the alternator. The Daytona's are alternator controlled as far as I know.
It's a 91. I was told the regulator is in the alternator. But the car has also been fixed. We were playing with the battery connections and ended up leaving a wire from the positive terminal unplugged all together and it ran fine for a day, then the next morning it did the same thing. So I took that random wire and plugged it into the negative terminal and it's been working fine ever since. Weird.
pcm, ecm, sbec, smec, ecu, all mean the same thing!!! it's the engine computer. BEST thing to do is get a wiring diagram at the very least, even BETTER is get a factory service manual for your car. I guarantee that if you own a FSM, you'll have a lot less questions.
