Need help ,advice,exp. any info that can help me find the problem<s> w/my 1990 dodge daytona 6cy. ,it runs fine 1 minute the next its spitin, sputterin ,& jerkin alover the road? but when i accelerate up to around 70/80 mph its ok as long as i hold there? could this be the brain{cars computer} if so where is it located? if im at the wrong site for these Q/A please point me in ??????? thanks a baffled dad!

 

Is the check engine light on? IF it is you can read the codes out by counting the flashes after cycling the ignition 3 times. (leaving it on the third time) like for code 11 for example it will flash once, then go out for about a 2 seconds or so, then flash again once. Hence forth 11. Then you can cross reference the code to a haynes manual, or post it here, I have a book and can look the code up for ya.
