NEED HELP PLEASE
11psi is too high for a stock tI - you're probably hitting overboost cutout. Do you have any trouble codes? Pull them by turning the key on-off-on-off-on without starting the car, then count the engine light flashes. They're 2 digit codes (blinkblinkblink....pause....blinkblink.....long pause....repeats) and will always end in "5-5" or end of sequence. If you have any questions about what the codes mean drop me an email, I have them around somewhere. IIRC overboost cutout is code 45.
Ok, on the 11lbs of boost we have a modified controller on the wastegate to allow us to run all the way to 15 pounds. But at 15 pounds is where we have the cut out from somwhere . But at around 11 is where it just bogs down a little but doesnt cut out. And we have no converter it is a straight through exhaust. And yea we are throwing a code the first code autozone said it was a map sensor but that didnt fix it. I will check the codes again and see what I get. Any more info would be help full

You'r first post said you've had the car two years and it had never run properly, so lets not loose sight of whats been accomplished in such a short time. This kind of comraderie is what its all about. I wonder if you have a component incompatibilty problem going on now, IE you'r remaining stock 11 lb boost stuff doesn't want to interface with the 15 lb boost (aftermarket?) components. From years of racing I have found many times stock to modefied and aftermarket to aftermarket manufactures don't play well together. I recently found out that DC still offers there code 11? race computer for the G bodys, we have an older style OR computer in Tony but were told by our local DC dealer we could still upgrade to the code 11? We don't want to go that far with a original 55000 mile car but this could be one way for you to go.

Ok so far the only thing we have done performance wise to the car is modified wastegate to run all the way up to 15 pounds. Straight through exhaust. We havent bought any aftermarket part for the car, the controller on the wastegate was made. and for the code 11? im not quite sure I understand what your talking about. How would I go about getting a the race computer you are talking about? And would there be any other parts i would need to get to so i could run the new computer?
Thanks Dave
Thanks Dave
I would put the wastgate back to stock, the code 11 computer is available through Mopar performance and when installed should do more with less hassel, any good Dodge dealer parts man can look it up just tell them you want the baddist computer they have for you'r year G body Datona or look it up you'r self in a Mopar performance catalog at the dealer, they usually will let you browse through thier catalog.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

So just any local dodge dealer should have the parts catalog that I could get it from? And is there any other parts that I need to buy to go with the computer?
Thanks for the info

The code 11 computer was brought to my attention by one of the parts men that work at our local DC dealer, which is part of the Lithia group here on the west coast. I don't actually know that much about it, other than it is a higher performance computer than what's normally classified as the off-road, which is a step up from the stock computer allowing you up to 11 lbs. of boost. In 1992, when I installed the off-road computer that's in Toni, our ' 84 Daytona Turbo Z, I don't think there was anything of a higher performance. Apparently, this code 11 computer is a full *****-out racing computer that will give you above 15 lbs of boost. As such, I don't know if it will pass emissions standard if you live somewhere that is required. All I know is that a code 11 computer exists. You will have to quiz your local Dodge dealer parts person about availability and any modifications needed to make it work. BTW, I checked my old Mopar Performance catalogue, which date back to '97, but couldn't pin down a part # for the "code 11". It might be something that isn't widely known outside of Dodge's inner circle.

Thanks for the info I will have to get in touch with my local dealer and see what I can come across. And I live in a little city in Indiana where we dont have to worry about emissions tests. So once again thanks for all the help.
