Default Throttle body

Can someone tell me what size the stock throttle body is for a TurboII ? I was thinking about going to a 52 mm, but thats a big jump, what other mods would i have to do ( injectors, fuel pump, etc.) Does it just bolt onto the manifold?Help please.

Are you doing a T1 to T2 conversion? If so many mods will need to be made for it to function correctly.

If my memory is correct, I believe that the stock Turbo II throttle body is 52mm. If you want to upgrade it, you can get the 58mm throttle body from Forward Motion. Here is a link to their throttle bodies: http://www.forwardmotioninc.com/html...airsystems.htm

I think I will probably buy the ported intake manifold and the 58mm throttle body, but while im at it, im gonna get some new injectors and a better fuel pump. It will be a pretty penny but, worth it I think, Anyone else done this mod?

What are your plans for the car? Going to a larger TB will only net you small gains at HIGH RPM, and decreased fuel economy. If your just using the car as a street machine, I would use the stock TB.

If you do decide to go with the larger TB don't buy it new. Go to the bone yard and find a Caravan, Dynasty or something along those lines with a 3.0 v6. They have a 58mm TB from the factory and will bolt right on just like the original. I think that I only paid $15 for the last one I got at the yard.

Okay thanks, I will probably get the 58mm from a boneyard anyways 15 bucks, you cant go wrong. My Dad and I were going to gasket-match port my current Intake manifold. I want the car to be a street machine, but not too obvious....a sleeper if you will. I still have small things to do like , get rid of the cat, Im gonna do the 180 degree thermostat with the 1/16th hole in it,BOV, little things like that. The car is pretty fast like it is, with the forged pistons, stage 5 pcm, .450 mopar performance cam. I dont drive it much right now, but I will soon, so I wanna get it done. Thanks for your help guys, it is much appreciated.

does the tb need to be off of a car of the same year or does that not matter.
