I bought a 91 tona from a friend after it was in a acident. The body is to messed up for me to want to fix. I recently found a 87 tona for sale with a blown engine. The lady told me it had T-tops, the only model I have found with T-tops in that year was the Shelby. Did any other models come with T-tops? Also the engine in my 91 is a crysler 3.0L not the mitisbishi (sorry can't spell), my biggest concern is will the motor mounts line up or will I have to modify something? Dose anyone have any ideas on this?

 

If going from 4 cyl 2 6cyl mounts will be different
as 6 cyl is bigger than 4cl. Wiring maybe different
also. Tranny hook-up probably different also.

Engine controls will be different. If its a Shelby it will be worth more if you just rebuildits stockengine, but thats your choice.

Your 3.0L might be labeled Chrysler, but it is a Mitsubishi. Chrysler made 2.2/2.5L & 3.3/3.5L engines, it never made its own 3.0L engines. http://www.allpar.com/mopar/3.html
