Well i was out for a mountain drive on the local Snake road. I was on my way home when I came around the last turn. I took it too quick and the back end kicked out. I cut back and forth trying to countersteer and avoid hitting a car coming the other way but I couldn't I smacked right into the side of a Volvo SUV. It felt like a dream at first and I still cant even believe it happened. Its happened yesterday May 5th the 8 month anniversary of when I bought her. The Volvo only has a small dent in the drivers side rear door. My car is totaled. Heres the only pic I have. No one was hurt atleast. The good thing is my insurance pry wont have to pay for his car. It was illegal. No regisration or inspection.

 

Dam! Like you said atleast nobody was hurt. The other car got off easy. I guess this cars arent good in a crash. Did you airbags deploy? You better hope and pray the other driver doesnt turn around and sue you and say they got injured. You know how people are these days. Was the other driver a man or a woman?

I wouldnt get another neon including a srt4 . After your accident I would get a more reliable new ride other than a neon. Glad your ok sorry about your ride at least you get a new ride out of it hopefully.

That sucsk, luckly no one was hurt and the other car was illegal. I've been in the same boat with the rear kicking out, but I was on an on ramp, and I only slid into the grass.

Damn man that's crazy. I've taken a turn like that twice. The first time I swerved across 3 lanes back and forth about 4-5 times until I hit a curb under the freeway. The 2nd time I almost totalled my car up against a tree...good luck finding a new car

 

I love neons but if mine ever got totaled I would get a new ride over a used srt4 seeing I want something more reliable and I can put more money into modding that ride. Not putting anymore money into my neon anymore what I have is what Im going with . I have all my mods I need just have to install the mods I have . Im getting a new ride with the works soon and my sxt is going to be a good second car.

 

Yes you can have it for free. But its now a 2-part radiator. I ended up swerving 4 times. It was a right turn i was goin around, i countersteered to the left into the oncoming lane. Thats when i saw the SUV coming. I quickly cut it to the right but too much and i was sliding towards a house and a pole. so i cut it back to the left one more time and slid into his car. The entire frame is twisted and bent. The insurance is coming soon to confirm its totaled and asses its value. The car was in perfect shape with low miles and everything so i could get 3500-4500. retail is 5900 from kbb. And i will have to payfor the volvos repairs since he moved over to avoid me. He only moved 2 feet anyways. I then had to look forward to whole "speeding" speech from my parents. I currently have $210 to my name and i owe $120 for last months insurance. (bill came today) so yea an srt-4 aint gonna happen.plus i wouldn't buy another neon. the sheetmetal is like paper. If i get $4000 for it ill carpool with my dad and bust my *** putin in a 60+hour work week. then buy mid-late uly i should have thecash for a $5000-$7000 car. maybe VW Jetta or 2000+ Eclipse?? And my insurance is gonna be nuts since i will also get 2 points for the speeding violation. stupid neon handling...
