Default New Owner/Exhaust ?

Hi there,
We just purchased a 2009 crew cab 1500 Laramie a few days ago. I must say I really like this rig, it has some really nice bells and whistles.

I have never had a hemi before and it is really impressive, so now I would like to add a little sound out of the exhaust. Are there any reccomondations that a local shop could do? I just want a little rumble and if I could tell them what to install it may be easier.

Thanks, Scooby

Magnaflow has a range of sizes depending on how loud you want it. A vendor on here sells a direct replacement for 240ish. or you could get an exhaust shop weld the extra section of pipe you need w/ cost of a muffler for 100-150ish

I just installed a mufflex last weekend, took 20 minutes ,fit like a glove and sounds great. My brother does have a lift so actual install times may take longer.
My buddy got the same muffler and had a muffler shop install it for $100 bucks. Tries to tell him it didn't line up.

Get the mufflex, install it yourself, you wont be sorry.

You can get one of the same magnaflow mufflers mufflex sells and have a local shop install it and you should be out the door for $100 - 120.

Does anyone happen to have the measurements of the single exit hemi exhaust? Really just the length and diameter pipe. I want to say it's 3", I just haven't gotten under the truck to measure. Also, should I (we) leave the small resonator in? I am thinking of going with the universal Gibson round mufflers. They come in 24" total 30" long. They sound great a guy at work has one on his '06. Just more curious on the diameter.

Sorry if I thread jacked. Oh, I spoke with Banks about a catback system, they have one. Single exit was $600.
