Gears? 3.21, 3.55, 3.92, 4.11, 4.56, etc.

I have no clue about a 4.7 programmer for an 09. The Hemi was changed so much it is not out yet.

No programmer needed for gear ratio changes needed, either, unless they've changed where they get the speed signal. My understanding is the sensor is in the rear axle centersection, reading off the tone wheel bolted to the carrier. This means that the speed reading won't notice a gear change-the only thing that will require altering the factory calibration on that is a tire height change.

Of course, I'm only saying no programmer needed to accomodate a gear change, I'm not saying no programmer needed for performance improvements...

Do a search. Lots of discussion on gears already on here.

No programmer needed for gear change. Lots of other reasons such as performance or tire size changes. No programmers out yet. The programmer for the Hemi will come out first. It may take another year or more for the 4.7 since demand is so much lower.

Thanks guys!

I assume the speedo and trans will operate as normal after the gear swap?

How about the drive shaft, will it need rebalancing w/ a 4.10 ratio?

Where can I get the gears and how do I know what rear I have? (Gears, housing size)

The rear is 9.25 and your window sticker will tell you what gears you have.

Yes it does. It should be a 3.21, 3.55, or the anti-spin 3.92.

What type of truck is it?

Its a 2009 4.7 quad. SLT 20" wheels.

I checked again, its does not say the ratio. My other 2 ram stickers from previous do!

Go figure.

Thanks.
