I went to a Dodge dealership with a friend of mine this weekend and I noticed something strange.
I looked under the trucks on the dealers lot, right below the driver's and passenger's doors, I saw something that looked like a balancing metal ***** of some sort.
Then I looked under my 2009 Ram Crew Cab Sport 4x4 and I did not see those metal plates/*****. I did see the mounting brackets, but the actual paert was missing.
Do you guys know what that is called and what its function is? Should I be worried?

That is odd. I've been under my truck a number of times, and I don't recall seeing anything like what you describe.

 

If your talking about the harmonic things on the frame I was told the Hemi has them and the 4.7 will not.

 

They look like black metal hemispheres, the size of a mans fist
Located right below the front doors on the frame

 

I do have a HEMI 5.7L CC 03/2009 production date

 

I need to see a pic anyone have any?

 

I don't have one and cant take one since my truck doesn't have it, but I can snap a picture if the bracket holding it.

 

My 09 quad hemi 2wd has them. Strange looking deals for sure.
