Like it finally down-shifted before stalling and kicks up the RPM in the lower gear? When this happens at night, my lights even dim. If we're talking about the same phenomenon, I've posted the issue, seems others have it. It's intermittent, have had all the flashes, never throws a code, and the dealer just throws their hands up (been to two local dealers here in Arizona).
It could be the MAP/MAF Sensor. Try cleaning it up with some Brakleen, and then let it air dry.
Are you serious? this is something you would do to a 10 year old truck. his truck is probably not even a year old. why wouldnt you suggest taking it to the dealer?
Would the new MDS flash fix this problem? I came to a rolling stop yesterday and as I removed my foot off the brake as the guy in front of me started to move, the truck lurched forward nearly hitting him. I will call the dealer but figured I check with you guys first.

Because cleaning a MAF sensor takes 2 minutes.
He didn't ask if he should go to the dealer, he asked if anyone had a fix.
Thanks for your post though, I just hope everyone else found it as useful and informative as I did.

I had a dakota that had a very similar problem, almost exactly the same problem actually. It was a combination of a dirty MAP sensor and a bad Throttle Position Sensor.

I didnt realize we were treating our brand new vehicles like an 87 f150. if your having problem with a BRAND NEW truck, take it back. dont start taking parts off and aimlessly spraying stuff in them because some grease monkey knows a short cut to get the engine light out until his customer leaves his shop.
This isnt some common problem that would require a simple tightening of a loose nut. your telling someone to take their maf sensor off their brand new truck and squirt stuff in it

My truck used to chug as if I had a high lift cam when I'd try to creep up when waiting at signal. The engine ran fine, but it was almost like the trans wasn't pumping enough fluid to move smoothly.
I had a reflash done and it smoothed out quite a bit, but it still lopes when I try to creep ahead.
