Unfortunately you'll find jerks like this on many assembly lines. The good part is that they are in the minority. Little comfort if your vehicle was the one they assembled but the odds are on your side.

LOL gee I wonder if this happens anywhere else? I bet those GM and Toyota workers would never do that. Why are there always party stores or bars close to auto and supplier and any other factory for that matter. You think downtown workers don't hit he restaurants downtown Detroit or Downtown anywhere for that matter. Come on that was just an easy target. Didn't the same type thing happen to Detroit city workers a while back. Nobody has a perfect work force.

So you think it is ok to drink and go back to work building something that someones life depends on? There is a big difference if the guy was simply pushing a pencil, or hitting a copy machine button all day. I'd want a drink too being that bored. I used to work in aviation and got drug and alcohol tested randomly at work. Maybe detroit needs to get back to testing. Imagine if the aircraft workers at Boeing were drinking at work. You'd be ok getting on a plane that some drunk worker guy forgot to put the static wire on the fuel tank....?

I think not......

Now if the sales guy was a drinker I'd be more than happy to take the guy to lunch if I could get a couple more $$$$$ off the sales price of a new Laramie!

They should be fired, you can't wait 3 more hours before getting drunk. Why get so f'cked up. How about going home sober and spending time with your wife and kids. There are two groups in life the strong minded and the weak, they apparently are the weak.

There was actually a guy in the KC plant for GM who for years would put a steel ball bearing in the frame of some of the cars coming through. Imagine driving along and stepping on the brakes only to hear a," Kshhhhh THUNK" every time you stopped and started. It took years before GM finally figured out what was going on.
