Default Whats the biggest size tire?

I am looking to add some nice beefy tires to my truck for the winter on my stock 17 inch wheels. I know currently there is like a 265.70/17 on there or close to it? What size will give me a bit more width and height?

Get yourself 285/70/17 are almost 33" and 315/70/17 are almost 35".
You can get away with the 315's which actually measure 34.46" with some rubbing as long as you got a leveling kit. 285/70/17 will give you 32.80" and minor rubbing.

Now do you think seeing that Im using the tire for snow, that going border line big is not worth it? Would like a 275 be safer?

Also, what do you think of these tires guys? For snow in MAine.

I'm getting new winter tires next week- I've decided to go with 285/70/17 Blizzaks. I figure it's at least better than stock but not so big that you'll lose a ton of traction. Plus they won't rub.

you cant put the 315's on the stock rims, they need 8.5" width or bigger and the stock rim is a 7" width. The 285's are as big as you should go on the stock rims, and the 275's are stock on the TRX4's so you're fine with those too.

305/55/20 will fit the 20" rim and barely clear.

I had 305/60/r20 on my 20" wheels with no rub. They were Goodyear SRA's....very close to rubbing, but did not.A 305/55 would prob be the best choice IMO.Although the sizes may vary with a 17" wheel,I would check to see.......

I think that the 285/70/17s require a wider rim than the 7" stock. Sure you can probably mount them on the stock rim but the manufacturer does not recommend it
