Can't find anything "extra" about HID Extra
I know a lot of people on this forum have had good luck with HID Extra, which is the main reason I decided to purchase HID kits for my truck from them, but something must have changed with them.
I ordered an HID low beam kit from them, and the kit came with the bulbs, wiring from the bulbs to the ballast, and a capacitor to stop the flickering. That's all. Absolutely no way to connect the capacitor to my OEM wiring harness. I e-mailed them to request the connector, and they want me to take the truck apart and take photos of the stock connector to"see if they have an adapter". Really? It's not like it's a huge deal to pull a headlight, but it's no 5 minute job either - and more importantly, they advertise "complete" kits... this ain't it. Even the headlight kit I bought over E-Bay came with a variety of connectors in case the one on the kit didn't fit.
Since this seemed to be a fluke (and sometimes I'm just pretty darn stupid) I went ahead and ordered their HID kit for my driving/fog lights. They came yesterday... with no @$#%& connectors! It's like I'm looking at the exact same kit I got for the headlights! Unreal... I sent them another e-mail, and I'm sure I'll get the same "send us a picture of the connector" response.
I guess I wouldn't be so irritated if they said up front I'd have to guess which wires went where, then cut, splice, and solder to make the HID's work - but that's not what they advertise.
Buyer beware is the point of the story here... and unless you feel like playing Junior Sparkie with your wiring avoid HID Extra's "kits".

sounds like you have all the parts. The stock harness plug into the capacitor, the capacitor plugs into the ballast and the bulb plugs into the ballast. Post some pics of what you got and maybe we can help out.
Here's the end of the capacitor that should plug into the OEM harness:
huh, knock on wood i have had a kit in for 10mo. no problems whatsoever.
yeah, its definately not a 10min. job. to do it right. considering you have to pull the headlights out etc...
but everything is plug and play, i have to admit it was kind of confusing with all the wires and adding an extra capacitor.
sorry your having problems.

Everything is NOT plug and play anymore, that's the reason for my post...
gary im right there with you, ive had nothing but problems with hid extra, and like you said nothing is plug and play, aka nothing simply plugs in and turns on nowadays. i spent multiple entire days on my last ram trying to get their kits to work with no success. just had one of their kits die on me after 2 weeks of use, so I wont even risk my headlights.

Here's pictures of both ends of the OEM headlight connectors:

And here's the OEM headlight connector next to the capacitor connector from HID Extra:

It's pretty easy to see that the kit requires an adapter that they didn't provide. I'm gonna send them the pictures and hopefully they can send me what I need.

Mine were straight plug and play but I bought mine over a year ago and when I bought them I actually called and ordered them over the phone so I could tell the person what truck I had so they could send me the right stuff. Sorry to hear that you are having all these troubles.
