i know recon recommends to put cilicone on the rim so it doesn't leak. If you put a lil film all around it should be like a gasket and you can wipe away excess.

Not sure about dodge, i know the ford ones just pop off with a flat screw driver and snap right back into place. Just use excessive force and see what happens, only one way to find out.

I put a set of Recon smoked cab lights on my '07 and had horrible luck with them. Even though the lights are "sealed" they kept getting water inside and corroding the contacts to the point the lights would die. After peeling 3 of them off the roof (I used a lot of silicone) to replace them I threw in the towel and purchased a set of OEM ones from Dodge (I had 15 freakin' holes in the roof to cover).

The OEM ones should be the same as any others, some silicone used to seal them to the roof. I would expect you should be able to work them loose if you wish to change them out, but I'd really caution you to think about using the Recons...
