Default My new SteelCraft grille guard and lights

Finally got this little project done. SteelCraft grille/brush guard, LightForce driving lights and VisionX LED lights. Also mounted one of the VisionX LEDs on the rear bumper for better light when backing up and for the idiots who tailgate with their hi-beams on. The grille guard went on very easily and seems sturdy as hell. It does leave your tow hooks open for use. All in all I'm very happy with the whole setup.

LOOKS GREAT! How do you like the Light Force driving lights? Did you pick those over Hella lights for any reason?

I like the looks, form and function of the LightForce lights but to be honest I haven't had a chance yet to give them a real workout. I just got them mounted up this afternoon. I picked them after a day of internet research on all the lights that were highly rated. They seem to be almost indestructable from all the research I did, are focusable and have a high candlepower output, 350,000 each. The price was nice too, $210 for the pair.

The fit and finish of your brush guard looks great and the lights are a nice addition. This is off the subject a little bit but are your side steps Mopar or after market?

Sounds like a good deal! Once you get a test on the lights share your thoughts! I would like to put some lights like on my truck one of these upcoming days! I was looking at Hella's but who know's we'll see. Also is the finish on your brush/grill guard powder coated?

I live up north where salt destroys EVERYTHING and had powder coated side steps and they were ruined within one year, so I paid a local shop to sand blast them and then got them rhino lined and lasted forever at that point. Didn't look as good as the glossy powder coat but lasted!

It looks good, I was expecting something looking overdone, or too much, but it is a good clean looking addtion to the truck

Thanks guys. I really like the whole look and it really completes the truck for me.

As a word of caution though... I do NOT recommend buying anything from buyautotruckaccessories.com. That's where I bought the guard. After installation, several days later, I noticed some slight damage/scratches to the passenger headlight grilles not caused by me since I haven't been offroad yet with it and I was VERY carefull installing it. Called their customer service twice and they lied to me and SteelCraft both times and would NOT help me at all stating that since I had mounted the guard they no longer were bound buy their own "100% Satisfation" warranty. SteelCraft's customer service was FANTASTIC and shipped me the replacement parts. They are a great company and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Great retailer to purchase from brother! I bought the Steel Craft tail light guards for my '07 Explorer (for looks) almost four years ago, and their product is still like new, with superior craftsmanship. Mine are chrome plated, and not ONE weld has yet to a show a rust stain, and they've been through four winters now. Yes I polish them, but their products are excellent and worth the little change you would spend over other retailers.
