Default how much for your 4th gen ram ?

just wondering what edition ram ya guys got along with the year ,rear end, motor anything special with the truck?

just tryig to get a idea on how much ya guys got your truck for and your monthly payments and how long you guys decided to pay for your truck .

looking to get rid of my 2nd gen to get something with more room for kids and a truck with more power .

are these trucks worth the buy ? or you think a titan or f-150 would be better ? or should i wait for the 8 speed trans to come with the rams

post some pics up too !!! !

also anyone go from the 2nd gen or 3rd gen to a 4th gen ram, is there much of a diffrence ?

I have no issue with my MDS, could disable with my SC, but I have choosen to leave it on. My testiment that the MDS is not that bad.

I had an 05 optioned out the same exact way and there is no comparison.

You can argue the 3rd looks a little more agressive due to size, but that is all the 3rd gets. More power, vastly better interior, better body gaps. Look at the gaps of the doors, hood, bumpers, ect on the 3rd and 4th and you will see what I am talking about. I also gets compliments on my truck, which is a little odd, just another basically stock truck, but I never got that with my 05 until I slapped on some M/T wheels and MT tires, and those were directed to the wheels/tires.

Better options available as well, but that is true of any newer car/truck.

What model you looking at? ST, Express, SLT, Outdoor, Sport, Laramie?

Bought my 2010 sport back in August replacing my 99 and I'm happy with the choice. MDS can be annoying sometimes but with the way I drive most of the time, it's not bothersome at all...kind of forget about it sometimes. I'm going to buy a superchips tuner will soon and when I get it, I'll turn it of for awhile and see how it runs.

Making the upgrade from 2nd to 4th gen was the best choice I've ever made with vehicles since buying my first Ram. The changes that 11 years have brought is just amazing. I'll admit I miss my old truck, lord knows I loved it but these 4th gens are great trucks in my mind. The only problem I've had so far was my driver side mirror puddle lamp filling with water and what was replaced under warranty so no complaints here.

Get a 4th gen and you'll be happy.

I was at the dealer today negotiating a 2011 QC 4X4 Sport Edition. The sticker was just under $42,000 and the lowest I could get them to go was $33,995 with some incentives. I am not sure what the invoice is, but they wouldn't go any lower than that. I walked away and we will see if they call me back.

My case is that I want one, but don't need one. I will upgrade from my 05 for the right price.... I do want to test drive that Ford Ecoboost before I make my final decision though.

Got my 09 QC Hemi TRX4 for $26,900 on craigslist with only 5k miles on it...I'd say keep in eye out on craigslist. I've got 38,000 miles on it so far with not a single problem. MDS got me 17.5 mpg with my 4wheeler in the bed driving from detroit to nashville. I had a 99 QC 2wd before this one and loved it too. Driven both Fords and Chevys and while they are both good trucks, neither one really fits my style like the Dodge does. Plus that Hemi will put them both to shame...

I love my 2011 Quad Cab SLT Hemi 4x4. Wouldn't trade it for anything else. In response to maxbob82 I have absolutely no issue with the MDS. I actually find myself driving in a more appropriate manner to try and get the MPG average up. I have been as high as 19 and I am still in the break in period. I've never really heard of any issues with the MDS, and I belive GM has a similar system in their pickups so I think it's pretty obvious that they don't have that many problems or else they wouldn't bother having such a system in the first place.

As for the new Fords they are about as fugly a truck as I have ever seen. The rear end looks like something out of a science fiction movie with the ugly tailgate and cheesy looking chrome tail lights. The interior also looks utilitarian and cheap in comparison to the Rams except on the very high end F150s. That and Ford's customer service from my experience, and that of my parents is abysmal at best. I wouldn't do business with them if they offered me a free truck. Also the whole "Ecoboost" thing is really starting to get on my nerves. It's a V6 with twin turbos, I just don't see why you would want a pickup with a v6 engine in it that's hooked up to twin turbos. Seems like it would be expensive to fix if it breaks, and it would sound like a glorified weed eater. They claim better gas mileage but if you're romping on it, or using it to tow you're probably not going to get any better than a V8. On top of that there's probably a lot more aftermarket options for V8 engines than there are for Ecoboost engines.

As for my truck it has 3.55 Gears, the 5.7L Hemi, Tow Package, Four Wheel Drive, 5 Speed Automatic Transmission, and a cloth interior. I bought the truck at $31000 off the lot and told the dealership I wasn't buying if they wouldn't throw in a linex spray in bed liner and a tonneau cover. Ended up getting the liner and an Access Roll-Up Tonneau for free. I didn't go too fancy with my truck, the big thing for me was getting the Hemi and Four Wheel Drive. Those add to the value of the vehicle the most overall. I'll soon be putting a new set of KMC Surge 20" Wheels on it along with 33" BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain tires. If you do buy just make sure you dictate your terms and what you want out of your truck. Do not buy the stealership extended warranties, or gap insurance either. They commission off of it. Depending on who you get your loan through you can get the same coverages for much cheaper if you buy them on your own. Also avoid the scotch guard, or rust protection services. They are ripoffs as well. I made the mistake of purchasing them through the dealership and when I got on with my new credit union recently they advised me to get a refund and they offer the same coverages on their auto loans for quite a bit less. Now between the GAP insurance and the warrant I am going to be getting checks totalling $3500 in the mail, which part of is buying my wheels and tires.

This is the 1st truck I’ve ever owned upgrading from a 2004 Hemi Durango Limited w/3.92 that was a great tow vehicle and daily driver for 130k. I ordered a 2011 4wd Sport CC w/3.92 and loaded it up to $45,545 msrp. $35,750 after the dealer discount and factory rebates. I got the dealer to switch the 20” wheels with an SLT that had 17” wheels even up, recalibrate the speedometer and program the keys I got off of Ebay for free as part of the deal. 5k miles now after two months and am very happy with the deal and my choice of vehicle. I don’t find any problem with the slight MDS noise as I like to listen to the 1 yr free SAT radio that sounds great.
