Noticed decreased Highway MPG with Airaid CAI
So I've made this trip several times now with conditions pretty darn equal(temp, wind, tire pressure, 87 octane, etc.). Straight shot across the state all highway using cruise control @ 68mph. Before my CAI I just had a drop in K&N filter and Magnaflow SISO cat back and got betwwen 17.9-18.6 MPG.
Now I put the Airaid CAI on the truck about 3 months ago this time I got 16.3-17.1 MPG. Nothing different about this trip than the others. The CAI only seems to have helped pick up MPG in city driving I was averaging 14.3-14.5 MPG now I get 15.1-15.3 MPG.
Anyone else have an usual experience with their CAI system?

It shouldn't make much difference either way. They don't flow enough extra air over the stock set-up to lean out the mixture. Perhaps you got some gas with 10% ethanol. That will drop it 1 to 2 mpg.
Not sure about the 09-up, but if you have a Hemi, it is probably recommended in the owners manual to run 89 octane fuel. It does for my 08.

i'd actually love to jump on with you and say I didnt notice anything positive from mine. I put it in and immediately noticed worse numbers, but thought to myself its a gas 2500, what do I expect. but since your on the topic, yea I didnt see any improvements, and I swear I loss some higher rpm power, she doesnt seem to pull off the line as quick
