Default What is this Black "Fake" plug in my Glove Box

So I was looking in my glove box and up to the left hand side, up at the top is a Black Half Round black plastic plug. It doesn't look it does a damn thing, I even was able to pinch the clip and it un-plugs (Has two wires on the back like you would see on a sensor under the hood)..

Does anyone know what in the hell this thing is

I have a 09 TRX CC with the Full Uconnect Package (No NAV) just the Sirius Head Unit..

Are you talking about a cable? If you have the back up camera they include a cable that needs to be plugged into the inlet for the camera to hook up to when the tailgate is removed. Think the infocenter will show an error without it connected. Or are you talking about the USB inlet inside the upper glovebox for an Iphone to connect to the Uconnect? With the 430N (nav unit) they do include the plug/adapter for the usb port to your Iphone IIRC. I have the 430, so no Iphone cable but does have the one for removing the tailgate as I have the back up camera.

You are correct. It's the upper glove box light that is an option in your model truck. If you'd like to add the lamp here's the part #

4565022 switch – glove box
