I'm installing hids in my 2010 dodge diesel laramie, but i'm not really able to find a good spot to put the ballasts. i'm running hid hi and lows with a relay harness. i got everything working good with no codes or warning lights but dont know where to put the ballasts.. anyone have experience with this?

I mounted mine to the frame right behind/beneath the lights using zip ties (I ended up using two separate wraps on each ballasts. Haven't had an issue w/ them breaking off either. I did not want to use double sided tape like some people use.. Then wiring was limited to find a place to screw them in at.

Here's some pictures you can see...Sorry the picture quality sucks, these are the only two that I snapped using the cell camera....Also both pics were taken on passenger side, same goes for driver side....Hope this helps a little bit let us know what you end up doing.

thanks, i'll try that. what did you connect you wiring harness to send a signal. i tapped mine to the marker light signal, seems to work alright so far. also did you have to use the capacitor? i hooked mine up last night just to test everything out and never got and warning lights. i just need to pick up another harness to run my hi beams..

are you asking what I tapped into for power? If so I just went to the positive block in the fuse box... and yea I used a capacitor, but I am also using a RAM specific harness from the place I ordered my HID's from. Also I switched from Dual Headlights to Quads..

Here's a pic of where I got my power source (if that's what you were asking)

I did not see the part where you said you had projectors installed to keep from blinding oncoming traffic.
