How do I tell if my touch screen radio is REN or RER?
Trying to figure out if the Mopar rearview camera will be compatible with my factory touch screen deck. It's a 2010 and it has UConnect, but no navigation.
Hollow,
There should be a 3 character code on the bottom right of the radio faceplate. If it is not there, you can PM me your Vin and I will send you a build sheet which will give you the info on what unit you have.
Guess I'll have to settle for the rearview mirror with the screen in it.
Your welcome. Sorry for the bad news.
What radio do you have? I was looking at http://www.mopar-wholesale.com/dodgeaccessories. And found this.
Part# 82211184 has this in the description " Integrates with production back-up camera ready radios (REN & RER)."
Hope this helps.

As long as you have a touch screen, you CAN put a rear camera on your truck. Dodge might say you can't, but you can. Do yourself a favor and do a little research on the "Lockpick". Go to OEMAUTOPARTSCO.COM and look around on their website. It will allow you to connect an after market cam WITHOUT having the dealer flashing your computer. Then go to Sonicelectronix.com and you can get a camera for under $50. You can hook the whole thing up in under an hour and a half with NO cutting of any factory wires. Its all plug and play. If you search this site for lockpick or RHR articles, i posted a detailed write up on what I did. Good luck
