New member from canada needs help
Hey guys Im Jc from Canada. Im new here so first of all I'd like to introduce myself and say hello! There's a reason why I came to talk to you! I bought a ram 1500 sport 2011 last year and since I got it I can't get rid of the idea that this beast must be lifted
! As a former member of the canadian army I dont have a lot of time for myself but I finally got back home and now is the TIME so I need your help!
What should I know about lift kits? I was thinking about buying a Rough Country 6 inches lift kit because of the good quality/price ratio. What do you think? Anybody as one on his truck? What would be the best website to buy one?
I'm sure there's someone here that can help me taking the best decision for my truck! I'm waiting for your answers and thank you all

JC,
Welcome to the Forum!! I've posted a link below for the Mopar catalog. On page 245, you'll find a chart of the lift kits available for the Ram and the part numbers. You can order these parts at your local Dodge dealer and they can assist in confirming the compatibility with your exact model.
http://www.mopar.com/assets/pdf/perf...g/Jeep_Ram.pdf
Please keep in mind that Mopar parts do have a one year warranty, however, the vehicle's factory warranty does not cover modifications, installation of special equipment or accessories. This includes special bodies, body conversions, fuel system conversions etc. Non-Chrysler modifications do not void the warranty, but they are no covered by the factory warranty. Performance and racing parts are considered to be Non-Chrysler parts.
Thank you katie! For what I saw at the page 245, mopar does not offer 6 inches lift kits. Is it because its not recommended for a truck?
PostalTwo Ive heard about diff problems when puting 37's and higher on a ram 1500! Some of my friends are sure there's no problem at all but others say I should put 35's instead of 37's! One sure thing is that Im gonna keep my winter tires for the winter wich means I'll start lifting before thinking about the diff! Im starting to think I should go see professionnals but I would prefer buying it on the internet! I dunno what to do.

professionals do cost more but the job gets done correctly and efficiently so in most cases its worth it unless u know what ur doing using ur stock diff will work. its just that when ur pushin 37's its not gonna have the accelleration it used to thats all its a matter of preference
