Default Changed spark plugs now having slight problems

Hey guys I need your help troubleshooting a problem with my truck. I finally got around to changing my spark plugs on my 09 Ram 1500, CC, Hemi, 4x2 that has 51K miles on original plugs. The truck has been running fine, has lots of power and gets decent mileage even after I loaded the 93 octane superchips performance tune. So this weekend I purchased the Autolite XP 5325's iridium spark plugs and dove right in. First let me tell you that the install kicked my butt taking a good 4 hours to complete the task. Now I understand why the stealership charges so much, anyway after putting everything back together, I stared up the truck. It ran smooth but the check engine light came on. After taking a break (was exhausted) I used my superchips cortex to read the DTC code, it came back with P0113 - Intake Air Temp. Senor 1 circuit high. So what that has to do with changing the plugs who knows. I cleared the code and took it for a test drive. I noticed a very brief hesitation; I figured the ECM was adjusting to the new plugs. After the truck warmed up, it ran fine and the check engine light has not returned since. I have felt the same brief hesitation a couple of times since when the engine is cold. Once at operating temp it purrs like a kitten. It revs hard to redline at WOT and the average fuel economy has been holding steady at 14.3 mpg. I am kind of **** about my truck so the hesitation bugs me, any suggestions of trouble shooting the problem, thanks.

I suspect that the way to solve the problem is to put in the factory recommended plugs rather than the fancy ones

I have been running the Autolite XP5325s for a few weeks now. They are running great for me. As good, or better then the day I bought it. I don't think the plugs are the issue.

Did you take the intake apart to do the plug change? If so, you may have not re-installed the IAT properly, or possible broke it. I did that once changing an intake on my 99 z24. Those IAT are hard to find in stock at a dealership, let me tell you.

Which way is "cage" facing? Towards the intake, or the throttle body?

Its not the plugs. It has something to do with the install. I have 11,000 on my fine wire Iridium. Better idle, tad better fuel mpg over a fat wire cheap nickel tipped plug. The only plugs that cause issues is 'pulse duration' plugs. Pulsar and E3 are a couple.http://www.flyplatinum.com/blog/?p=808 http://www.ramaircraft.com/Maintenan...vs-Massive.htm Of course you could just sell that " fancy truck' for a older more basic one.

Its not just the pulse duration plugs that were causing issues. Some were having problems with regular style platinum plugs as well.

I am still thinking it is just that the IAT was either re-installed wrong, or damaged.

Ok guys help me out here, where exactly is the IAT? I did remove the rubber air intake that connects the throttle body to the air box and unplugged a black harness on a sensor in the elbow near the throttle body, but it was a simple plug/unplug removal. According to the write up in the DIY section that was the mass air flow sensor right, so what am I missing?

The IAT is the sensor the harness connects too. Did you remove the sensor from the tube at all??

Check that ALL of your Coil Pack Wires are in and snapped in. I had the same issue and ended up being just a loose coil pack wire.

Nope, did not remove the sensor from the tube, just unplugged the harness. I'll recheck all the coil pack wires, thanks for the tips.
