10K on a 2011? That's not an oil leak, that's your truck crying!

(no constructive advise btw, other than take it to the dealer and let them repair)

I had a similar leak, they tried many things before they finally determined the cylinder head itself was actually defective and leaking from some point - they had to replace the head. That was what finally solved that leak. I'm hoping mine was a freak and yours is something simpler. Let us know what you find out.

Hrom,
did you get to see the actual head after it was removed and also where the leak was found...??? What i`m gettin at is, was it really a head manufacturing issue, or maybe it could have been really just a bad gasket issue. Yeah i agree, hope we dont see this become a future oil leak issue.

First they thought it was solenoids or injectors as the source of the oil leaking, they changed out some of these things. Then they did the Gasket but it still leaked. After several visits they were as frustrated as I was. Messy driveway...... They told me there was a leak in the head *somewhere* and to make sure they fixed it for me they just replaced the whole head. The leak went away after that, I did not ask to see the head that was pulled. Curiously, that head was removed once before for drilling out a broken exhaust manifold bolt, but that does not mean its related to that.

Could have caused the head to warp by reinstalling improperly, or reusing the head bolts if they had it off a couple times. Odd that they removed it to drill out the manifold bolts though.

Some exhaust manifold bolts on the other head had broke off a few months earlier. They ONLY replaced the broken ones even though I pleaded with them to replace them ALL. Of course the bolt on this head eventually broke and it sheared off at the head surface so they could not remove it. Hence they pulled the head and sent it to the shop to be drilled out. This is the head that was eventually replaced for the oil leak. Today I have brought it back in because there is some horrendous lifter noise? coming out of the new head. They have told me my truck is "jinxed" and I am certain they are sick of seeing me.

If you have lifter noise in the head of a pushrod V8, you've got some really big issues
