Default How do I remove the real lens cover?

I have seen a similar discussion, but it does not help me out. I have a 2010 Ram 1500, and I need to change out the turn signal light bulb, and I can not seam to get the rear lens cover off. I have removed the two small screws, and see where there is a clip inside the underside and I can not get it to release. How do I get it to release so I can change the light, all without breaking the lenses cover?

Thanks....JDPDJP

After removing the two hex screws give it a good tug and it should pop out. There are a couple of clips holding it in place.

You can't remove the lens cover only, it's a complete assembly. After removing the two screws, you have to grab the side of the assembly inside the tailgate opening and rotate it towards the outside first to disengage the clips. It will not pull straight out.

Correction: It will pull straight out. I was confusing it with my other truck.

Remove the 2 securing screws (inside of bed tailgate area), get a good grip on the housing, good quick pull, comes right out.
Before putting the tail light housing back in, put some grease around the bulb holes and the internal holding tabs,
the grease will help keep moisture from getting inside the lenses, and housing is easier to remove next time.
Just a suggestion: Painters tape placed around the painted body area first, will save your paint from getting scratched.
