Dead Battery on 2014 Ram Longhorn
The vehicle had been parked in the garage. Day 21 of the new vehicle, I tried starting it but the battery was dead. Voltage on the battery measured 6 volts. No lights were left on nor was anything left opened. The battery was charged and the vehicle was driven to the dealership. The dealership says the battery tested OK and there was no draw on the battery.
The only thing Chrysler Customer Care does is apologies for the inconvenience.
I guarantee the dealership did not fix the problem. Any suggestions or solutions?

Either something was actually drawing current or the battery is bad. Not a news flash there, I know. Even if you're positive that you did not leave anything on or a door partially open, there have been situations where these trucks screw up in the computer and turn something on. There is a TSB for older models for a radio problem like this (that probably doesn't apply to you - just using as example). The other alternative is that the battery has a bad cell. Happened in my 2005 Grand Cherokee. Would find it totally dead in the garage the morning after happily driving it into the garage with a full charge. Charged it up and it was good for days, then it happened again. Tested just fine several times. But it was a bad cell and replacing the 16 month old battery fixed it.
So, best thing you can do is just hope it was a one-time thing and see what happens. If it does it again in the next few weeks then I'd change the battery. You'll have a hell of a time figuring out the issue if it is the computer turning something on unexpectedly.

Yep it is an inconvenience but they should have given you a new battery and sent you on your way. I tell ya though batteries are not what they used to be. I have had issues with batteries lately as well. Give me the diehards of old. Never had issues with those.....
The dealership said the battery was tested under appropriate amperage and the results were good. No new battery was needed.
Reading information on the web, including this forum other people have had similar issues. I doubt the issue corrects on it's own.
My vehicles in the past have been designed to shut the circuit off once the voltage drops to a certain level. Obviously if the key is in the ignition and the radio is left on this will drain the battery down.

Anyone else experiencing electrical issues with their new Ram???
Dead battery again, back to the dealership again.

Have them charge the battery and meter the current draw. You could have a short in your TIPM. It is a computer board, electronics aren't 100% guaranteed. Heck, the typical yield for Die on a Semi-conductor wafer is barely over 90% for the best product. That means 10% are defective or have conductivity issue's. This is what they put in the cheaper Walmart TV's and such..lol
Even a loose ground will cause drainage!

I may find this useful at some point, thanks.
