Default 2009 5.7L Spark Plug Question

I want to change the plugs in my truck and purchased a set from the dealer.
My question is, the plugs that I am removing are NGK and have the compression washer that seats to the head and the ones that the dealer sold me are Champion (copper), but they don't have the compression washer. Is that a concern? Did they give me the wrong plugs?

I'm surprised that the dealer sold you champions as the OEM are the NGK with the compression washer. I've done my plugs twice and got them from the dealer both times and the dealer supplied the NGKs. I would call the dealer and ask them if the have the NGKs and ask for them. I like the compression washer for the sake of the installation as it does not require a torque wrench. Using the torque wrench on the backs ones is basically impossible.

Thanks for the reply Pedro. I'm taking them back and requesting the NGK's.

Just to follow up, I did stop at the dealer this morning and they DID sell me the wrong plugs. Go the correct ones (NGK) and will be installing this weekend. Thanks

champions are used in third gens....Been running plats the day my 06 was off the books and never had any issues. oem plugs x 16 don't last any more than a year in my hemi, yes their cheap, but swap out a set two or three times your self or at dodge and Platts are not so expensive.

Just updating my original post. Been a week or so since the install and I can actually feel the difference in performance.

Did you also clean the throttle body, it will make the idle real smooth. Another thing I tried to do was to put the ECM into a relearn mode. Not sure If I was successful as I used the 3rd gen method of disconnecting the battery negative and turning the ignition key to on. Be on notice that you will not be able to remove the key until the battery gets reconnected.
