I am not recommending in any way that someone should override a safety device. Seat belts save lives and should be worn.

That being said - A Google search with the year, make, model of your vehicle should give results. The owners manuals sometimes have the details also.

Good luck - and stay safe!

when I'm at my property in the woods, I don't want to buckle up everytime I go up the driveway or if I'm doing chores.

Try this,

NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. Chrysler LLC does not recommend
deactivating the BeltAlert.
1. With all doors closed and the ignition switch in any
position except ON or START, buckle the driver’s seat
belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and wait
for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver’s seat belt at least three
times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt
buckled.
4. Turn off the engine. A single chime will sound to
signify that you have successfully completed the
programming.
BeltAlert can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.
NOTE: Although BeltAlert has been deactivated, the
Seat Belt Reminder Light will continue to illuminate
while the driver’s seat belt remains unbuckled.

The turn-off sequence is described in my 2011 owner's manual, but in the 2012 owner's manual, it says take it to your dealer to deactivate the BeltAlert. Not sure if they eliminated the DIY mode or not.

Not sure why manufacturers feel the need to enforce a safety feature that many States do not.

What happened to "survival of the fittest"?

Folks from another forum claim it works in the 2014s

I tried following the steps listed above but to no avail

Are we sure this is the right sequence? Would be great to get this disabled.

It worked in my 2014. The evic still flashed the message to buckle up and the seat belt light still flashes but the chime is gone. You do the same thing for the passenger belt.

step 1 - go to junkyard
step 2 - cut off male seatbelt piece
step 3 - put it in the female seatbelt piece
step 4 - don't hit anything, because it is going to hurt

People try to over complicate things a bit with all these "secret" disable codes

Or just leave the seatbelt buckled all the time. You should not notice sitting on it.
