Default 2010 Ram Blower Motor Squeal

First real cold morning today at +1C.

Turned on the heat and the blower motor has this light squeal at all speeds except HIGH.

I'm guessing it is under the dash somewhere.....?

And should I try and "clean and lube" or just change it out?

Most of the fan motors I have found say "without dual zone climate control"

What's the difference? I can control temps right and left but the fan blows one speed in both zones. Is THAT dual zone?

Part number VDO PM9313

So I bought a new blower assy. VDO PM 9313 for $155.00 all in at Parts Source here in Ontario.

Looks easy enough to replace....3 screws and one simple harness plug.

The current blower hasn't outright failed yet, but I'd rather replace now before it does fail sometime in January or February.

Uh....thanks for the help.

good luck. You may want to remove the lower glovebox for better access. Easy to take out. Open it to the stops and push in the edges to release and pull out

Literally a 10 minute job.

I didn't have to remove anything for access. Simply the 3 screws, the harness plug and out it fell.

Noise is now gone.

FWIW, mine has squealed a little since I got it when the temp gets down below -10 or so until the inside of the truck warms up.
