Anyone else having trouble getting the 2009 Dodge RAM Truck 1500 Service, Diagnostic, and Wiring Information online service manual to pull up? Worked fine the last time i used it several months ago. Using IE (11) SVG Viewer installed

 

looks like it may be the IE version causing the trouble

 

Needs to run on IE8 I believe, SVG viewer is not supported in later versions of IE. Also needs to run on Windows XP. I'm sure there are work-arounds that I'm not familiar with.

I used to view it on Windows 7 running a ******* PC for windows XP. Moved to windows 10 and lost that.

 

Internet explorer updated unexpectedly on the newer PC. Looks like I'm going to have to keep the old XP around a little longer until someone is nice enough to link an updated online service manual platform.

You can go here without putting your computer into a low security mode.

Not everything. Still more than the average joe needs to do his own work.

It is a large number of pages and takes a while to download.

Chrysler moves it around -- so if the link stops working just google it.

 

You can get it to work with IE 11, basically you need to setup a local webserver and then access it through there rather than via c:\ it is a security issue where you cannot lower the security enough to run SVG viewer when the source is a drive. I am running it under Windows 10 without an issue.

I'd really like to know how you set it up as a local webserver. did you use Apache or something like that? Maybe you could do a post on it.
