Default 2012 Ram Key Fob

Changed the battery....replaced with (Energizer 3V CR2032)...doors lock and unlock....panic button works but the remote start won't work????????

Yes it did...my second key fob works perfect (never changed the battery in that one)....I called the dealership and they said you don't have to reprogram the fob by changing the battery

Default 2012 Ram Key Fob

Changed the battery and replaced the Panasonic 3V CR2032 with an Energizer 3V CR2032....the doors lock and unlock...panic button works but the remote start won't......I have a second Key Fob with my truck which I have not changed the battery and it works perfect......Called dealership and they said that the key fob did not have to be reprogrammed when changing battery....??????

Is this an aftermarket remote start?

Also, when you're attempting to use the remote start is your fob well away from any other electronic devices that could be emitting a signal, such as a cell phone, another key fob, GPS, etc.?

I have two key fobs....both original with truck.....the one i changed the battery in is not working for remote start only....the other one works perfect(battery not changed in).....as for other signal interference's, I have started my truck with the remote the same way since 2012....only in the winter months...So confusing....lol

Is the remote start system from the factory?

Have you tried a different (new) battery to check if it isn't the specific battery that you put in the fob causing this?
