Default Driver updaters?

I'm looking for a program similar to driver detective, which scans and updates all your drivers, but I reallly dont wanna pay 29.95 for it. Any help?

Long time no post man.... buthonestly, most hardware drivers dont really need to be updated. The only ones you ever want to really pay attention to are the following:

Firmware updates for any/all hardware - These are critical because they can increase performance and/or correct performance issues.
Video drivers - these improve and update fairly regularly
Chipset drivers - these arent super important, but again like firmware updates, can improve performance issues.


Most of the rest of the drivers have no real reason to update. In fact, the only time I really bother to update is when I'm made aware of security/failure issues with a specific driver, or I reload my system...

Alright thanks man, I just updated my video card drivers and it solved my issue (wanted to increase FPS on new game)
