MVC file question
Ok, last year i took a few pictures of my dakota with a digital camera, which saved the pictures to a disk. I used the disk to set a few of the pictures as my display picture on MSN Messenger. I have now lost that disk and cannot find any of the picture files on my computer, except for the ones that were on my MSN Messenger. However, the ones on my MSN messenger, i cannot save them or send them to a different folder, it seems like all i can do with them is set them as my display picture on messenger. The only way i can view them is when i sign in to messenger and go to "change my display picture." Is there any way i can get these MVC files sent/saved to a folder such as "My Documents" or any other way to view them ??
I don't use MSN Messenger, however you can locate any file if you know the name, file type or both. Is the extension a MVC? Press start, search, find files or folders, all files and folders, type in *.MVC(if that is the extension, also ensure to put the "dot" in)in the all or part of name. Select all hard drives and press enter. Let the computer do the searching!
This may seem a little tedious, but you can find all images on your computer relatively fast. For Windows XP, Go to Start, then click on the Search option. Your search sceen will open. First click on the "View" option at the top of that screen and click on the word "Thumbnails". Now, go to the left side of the screen and click on "Pictures, music, or video" The screen options on the left will change. Click inside the box to the left of the "Pictures and Photos". In the boxbelow the words"All or part of the file name"(you may need to scroll down that screen to find this), enter *. Yup, that's right, just and asterisk. Finally, click the "Search" button to the lower right of that search screen. Now your computer will search for every picture on your computer and display it to you in a thumbnail on the right of that screen. Cumbersome, but you should be able to find it.

When you are in messenger, and you view the picture, can you right click on the picture and save the picture as? Sorry, not sure if that works in messenger as I never use it.
