I have a 01' intrepid. Just finished changing out the evaporator core so I had the whole interior apart. Once it was all together everything worked fine. A day later the speedo would only go up to about 20mph and stick. Once i would stop it would drop down to about 5mph while sitting still. Don't have any problems with the transmission and I don't have a check engine light. I'm going to try cleaning and reseating the cluster connecters and see if that helps. Any other ideas are appreciated.

I'd go with the poor connection theory or maybe the gauge is sticking physicaly.
