Default a little concerned...

2009 R/T 3.5 VVT V6 six speed. almost 25k miles.

whenever we start the car, its really loud and you can hear the sounds of the internals. to me it sounds like theres absolutely no oil is in the top end of the motor. i understand that when the engine is off, theres less oil in the top end, but it sounds like when you rebuild a motor and forget to oil the valve train before you start it. and it will run with this sound for almost 30 seconds. also, when i canged the oil, there was a decent amount of metal shavings in the oil.

anyone else experiencing this?

My brother in law had the same problem with his 6 month old Voyager, and they found the back bank of rocker arms were broken. After replacement the noise is gone. Good thing he has the life time war.

Yep, sounds like an issue in the top end somewhere. Rocker arms are a distinct possibility. I'd say it's time to take it to the dealer for a look/see...
