Default Why is the Journey forum under VANS?

I have had my Journey SXT for a couple of weeks now and I don't think it is a VAN. I had a van back in 97 (Dodge Maxi-Van) and this sin't anything like that. Why isn't is under SUVs?

The journey is really a crossover. Its a Van or a SUV.

No, its really a station wagon. Call it what you want, cross over, Suv, mini van, car, if has four doors and a open cargo area, it could be a hatch back.

Detriot is running out pet names for station wagons.. All hail the Country Squire ( ford has the fake wood tack on the Flex now )

I never really found the "sport" in a suv and as for "utility" any full size or mid size domostic wagon had more utility.

Mini van, not so mini now, maybe people are bigger today, put more than 3 persons in a car and its really a station wagon.

Cross over just sounds confused, what are you crossing over to? thiers a bit of doubt crossing over, next thier will be a cross back and its still a basic station wagon.

I thought the "crossover" was from a "car" because it has four doors instead of sliding second row doors. But what do I know this is my first whatever it is. So far, 1600 miles, I'm liking it a lot. Not nearly as much fun to drive as my previous 4 door sport sedan, but I like it. Fair power for a V6, good 6 speed in manual mode, and a pretty good ride on the highway.

According to Wikipedia, the term crossover came from a January 2008 Wall Street Journal blog article called crossovers "wagons that look like sport utility vehicles but ride like cars.
It says they are unibody vehicles like cars with a ride more car like.
Nothing about a van.
check it out. I think this forum should be moved under the Dodge SUV link.
