Default New Info to Me About 2009 Recall

Took the 2009 SXT in for an intermittent window switch problem on drivers door and an oil leak. I'm right at the end of the electrical warranty... 35,917 and wanted the switch assembly replaced. The oil leak turned out to be a bad pressure switch so it was covered under warranty too.

During conversation with the Service Writer, he informed me of a recall for the "front door wiring harness." He said parts won't be in for a month. I guess the correct title to this recall is: CAMPAIGN : K07 FRONT DOOR WIRING HARNESSES.

That is right. The dealer can only order two replacement wire harness kit, per one week. So if they order the parts for 8 dodge journeys, can take 4 weeks for the parts. You are correct on the campaign number K07. You also know if the RRT 10-034 was done too. That is a flash update for the PCM, on the 6 speed transmission. Let me know if you like me to send you the recall notice.

Is this an actual recall or a TCB (Technical Service Bulletin)? Im sure that It has already been done. When was the recall issued? I bought my Journey used from the Dodge dealer with such low mileage that the original factory warranty transferred over to me.

My Service Writer is very good to me. I butter his bread (give him cash tips) each time I go and so far he hasn't mentioned the recall that you list above. My only guess is that is has already been done. Please do post the information on the recall and I will give the dealer a call.

Thank you in advance

the dealer I go to for warranty service seems to be the last one to know about any recalls/TSB's. We had the door switch problem too. Took them two visits, ordering a whole new door panel with switches, keeping the car for 8 days before finally figuring out it was the harness, not the switches. Now we have to schedule an appointment to have the warranty work done and our car has had inoperable front windows for a month.
